Katie Stuart believes that out of control teachers unions and far left ideologies should decide how our kids are educated. Even after receiving opposition, Katie Stuart voted in favor of adopting the National Sex Education Standards in Illinois schools. Parents have been outraged and have asked their schools to opt out of the current sex education curriculum. While all of the schools in the 112th district have “opted out” of teaching this curriculum for the 2022-23 school year, parents will need to voice their concerns year after year.
When I get to Springfield I will fight to put parents at the center of their children’s education by backing legislation that protects the rights of parents. I call on Katie Stuart to stop failing Illinois families and start advocating for policies that benefit students and protect parental rights instead of the bloated, corrupt education system.
